Kirill Golovchenko
Kirill Golovchenko (born 1974 in Odessa, Ukraine) studied photography at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences in Germany and lives in Frankfurt and in Odessa. He is represented by Dymchuk Gallery in Kyiv and Focus agency, Hamburg. His works show secret and undiscovered insights from Eastern Europe. Golovchenko got several scholarships and awards, including Documentary Photography Award, European Publishers Award for Photography, European Photo Exhibition Award and Abisag Tuellmann Prize. His photographs have been exhibited internationally since 2003, including Museum Folkwang Essen, Fotomuseum Winterthur and Photo Museum Braunschweig. In 2014 Golovchenko published his next book »Bitter Honeydew«, Kehrer, following »7km — Field of Wonders«, Snoeck (2009), »Totalniy Futbol«, suhrkamp (2012) and »Kachalka – muscle beach«, Kehrer (2012).
