Jakob Ganslmeier
Jakob Ganslmeier (b.1990, Munich) lives and works in Berlin, studied at Ostkreuz School of Photography in Berlin and graduated under the guidance of Sybille Fendt in 2014. Additionally to his work as a freelance photographer, he has e.g. had exhibitions at Centre d’art PasserelleBrest (France), DKW Museum (Cottbus), Paraty em Foco (Brazil) and SEZ (Berlin).
Awards include: Hil Award, Aenne Biermann Award (honourable mention), German Youth Award, Heinrich Böll Foundation and the Pfeifer Mobil Scholarship.
His personal interests lie in documentary long-term projects which deal with contemporary issues.
In 2014 he co-founded the platform FOG which displays and disperses documentary positions in printed magazine and online.
