Davide Monteleone
Davide Monteleone (*1974) studied engineering and later photography at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Rome. He has worked for several Italian magazines and international newspapers such as Io Donna, L’espresso, New York Times, Time, Stern, New Yorker, Newsweek. He has won several awards including the World Press Photo in 2007, 2009 and 2011, the International Photo Award, Emerging Photographer Grant and Freelens Award. He has published three books: “Dusha”, “La Linea Inesistente” and “Red Thistle”, the latter winning the European Publishers Award for Photography in 2011. He lives and works in Russia and Italy. After working with Contrasto for 10 years, Monteleoone joined the agency VII Photo in September 2011.
