Marthe Aune Eriksen
Marthe Aune Eriksen (b. 1975, Norway) graduated from The National Academy Of The Arts, Oslo, in 2003. Her artistic practice is characterized by the exploration of the intersections between city and periphery, and her works show sites, landscapes and cityscapes otherwise seldom caught by attention. Areas where much has been started and little completed, where projects were stranded and visions wrecked. Spaces almost invisible in all their presence.
Since graduating Eriksen has shown numerous solo exhibitions and participated in several group shows throughout Scandinavia. She has produced public commissions, is represented in a number of private and public collections, and has received a long list of art grants, including project grants from The Swedish Arts Grants Committee, Arts Council Norway and The Hasselblad Foundation, as well as working grants from Norwegian Visual Artists Association and Malmö Art Museum.
Eriksen lives and works in Malmö, Sweden. In addition to her own artistic practice she has been running gallery spaces and has been active as a producer and curator for several years.
